Gang Avoidance & Prevention Program

At Alpha Connection Youth & Family Services, our Gang Avoidance & Prevention Program is a proactive, trauma-informed initiative designed to protect and empower youth at risk of gang involvement. Recognizing the complex social and emotional factors that drive gang affiliation, we provide a safe space, mentorship, and constructive alternatives that build identity, purpose, and resilience.

Through one-on-one counseling, life skills workshops, positive peer engagement, and culturally relevant activities, our program equips youth with the tools they need to resist negative influences and make empowered decisions. Our trained staff, many of whom have lived experience or long-standing ties to the communities we serve, build authentic connections that inspire trust, accountability, and hope.

Alpha Connection’s holistic approach addresses the root causes of gang involvement—poverty, trauma, neglect, and identity struggles—while promoting leadership, education, and community service. Our goal is not just to keep youth out of gangs, but to lead them toward lives of meaning, contribution, and transformation.
