I earned a Batchelor of Science degree, Cum Laude from Westminster College, Salt Lake City, Utah in 1978.  I have over 42 years of direct clinical experience in the public and private sector.  I have worked with consumers with a wide range of challenges and concerns that include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem, career issues, and anger management.  I also have expertise working with culturally diverse people, and people who have experienced physical and emotional trauma. My therapeutic interventions are supportive, interactive, validating, and nonjudgmental.  I embrace treating everyone with respect, compassion and with unconditional positive regard.  

My approach combines cognitive behavioral interventions, humanistic, mindfulness, and psychosocial interventions.  I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I will assist consumers to seek empowerment, realize their strengths, and enhance their current emotional being.

    My education and professional background in both the mind and the body give me a unique and effective approach to treatment. I work to provide the Alpha clients with CANS Assessments and tailored treatment plans that can be integrated into their daily lives.
    I have over 30 years of experience as I was licensed in 1990. I have 21 years of experience working with the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health Forensic Program from 1986 to 2008. I also have 10 years working at Patton State Hospital as a Clinical Psychologist from 2008 to 2018. From 1998 to the present I have been providing psychological services to the children of Alpha Connection. I have a B.S in Psychology from The University Of Houston and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from California School of Psychology, San Diego.

      Anthony Riley

      Anthony Riley first began his career opposite actor Jim Carrey in 1992 on the hit television series, “In living Color.” The episode “Welcome to the Neighborhood,” became one of the most popular and highly rated episodes of the series. Anthony graduated from USC in 1996 and had the opportunity to pursue coursework in the film department, while working for Spelling Television.

      From 1992-1997 Anthony worked as a day player & actor, finally working with the second unit camera dept. throughout the successful run of the FOX hit show Melrose Place, as well as Model’s Inc., Beverly Hills 90210, and Pacific Palisades. He later departed for Paramount Studios to work on various feature films including Clear and Present Danger starring Harrison Ford, The Brady Bunch and Star Trek. Anthony’s time in production concluded on the FOX hit series the X-Files in 1999, and in 2001 created a performing arts charter school program serving over 500 children on two campuses both in Los Angeles and San Bernardino County.

      Anthony had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Barron Wilson in 2001 of the Alpha Connection Youth and Family Services. Anthony served as a teacher and mentor for children in placement at ACYFS and was further blessed that year to become a foster parent and eventually adopted a child in placement at ACYFS, marking a 20 year relationship with the organization that would endeavor to change the lives of children in placement and the community at large. ACYFS children were inspired to discover their artistic talents as a therapeutic outlet and means of communication through film production.

      In 2001, Anthony won the California on Location’s Award for his work with underprivileged children through the non- profit The Performing Arts Educational Foundation, where he mentored and helped young people to enter the entertainment industry through successful internships and workforce development programs.
      Anthony worked for the County Board of Supervisors in San Bernardino from 2004-2010, was County Economic Development Director from 2008-2010, and was elected to the Hesperia Unified School Board from 2008-2012.

      He now works in the field of Public Relations where he also served as the Barstow/Hi-Desert Regional Film Manager securing countless production opportunities for the region further recognizing the importance of film production and its economic impact to the County. His recent credits include the Independent 2017 film “Miami Dead County,” where he starred as assassin Dr. James Pinto, and was instrumental in helping with location scouting and background casting for the feature film “Sky” starring Diane Kruger from the “Bridge” and Norman Reedus from “The Walking Dead.”

      Anthony now proudly serves as Administrator of the ACYFS Shoshonee home, where he continues to work with young men inspiring them to explore their artistic talents and reach for the stars.

        Lindsay Baston

        I completed my dual bachelor’s program at California State University, San Bernardino in 2012, recieving my BA in Psychology and Child Development. I then went on to complete a dual master’s program in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling in 2016 from Chapman University.

        I have specialized training and experience in providing Trauma Informed Care, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Maternal Mental Health, Sex Offender Treatment, Crisis Intervention, Family Therapy, parenting classes and many years working with at-risk youth and their families. I have been working with Alpha Connection since November 2017.

          Evonnda is The Senior Administrator and a State of California State Certified STRTP Administrator for Alpha Connection Youth & Family Services. Alpha Connection is a Community Based Non-Profit located in Apple Valley and Victorville. Alpha Connection provides residential, therapeutic and mental health services to homeless, abused and abandoned children of The State of California.

          Her professional life often merges with her civic life, as she donates her talents to numerous nonprofit organizations in The High Desert, including Children For A Safer Community, Children’s Intensive Residential Services of San Bernardino County, Second Harvest Food Bank (providing children and families in need with food), Apple Valley Community Clean Up ,Victorville Ribbons Little League, and Victor Valley Woman’s Club, among others.

          Evonnda’s passion is her work with Alpha Connection where she has led the vision of providing safety and well being for homeless and foster children for 15 years. It is estimated that in Evonnda’s 15 Years of service she has impacted over a thousand lives with her leadership and guidance through the Foster Care System. In 2012 Evonnda was selected to attend The Inauguration of Former President Barack Obama at The invitation of Congressman Paul Cook.

          In 2018 Evonnda received the Woman of the Year, Woman of Distinction award from Victor Valley Women’s Club. Evonnda is a resident of The Town of Apple Valley and has a vision on expanding services to help more children and families of the Victor Valley.

            Amy Osborn

            She has been a State Certified Administrator with Alpha Connection since August 2011.  In addition, Amy provides intensive Specialty Mental Health Services, Intensive Case Coordination and targeted case management services to all twenty-four foster care children that are residing in ACYFS STRTP.

            Amy Osborn is extremely passionate about helping children and has impacted hundreds of children’s lives in the State of California.

            She is a mother of her three-year-old son Jaxxon and an aunt to two nephews, ages 17 and 13.  She enjoys reading in her spare time. Her goal is to continue being a leader and mentor to foster care children in hopes to better enrich their lives.

                Barron Wilson

                Barron has been the Chief Executive Office of Alpha Connection Youth & Family Services for 22 years. He is a certified Youth Fire-setter Prevention Specialist and and a Drug and Alcohol Intervention Specialists credentialed by Stanford University Medical Center. Barron attended St Mary’s College of California.

                Barron Wilson’s work in the Foster Care arena has garnered commendations and awards from the United States Congress, State of California Assembly and Senate and many other distinguished organizations. His Assistance with children in crisis has helped them navigate societal issues and past trauma to become mentally health children.

                • Barron Wilson holds graduate certificates from Villanova University , Stanford University and Notre Dame University.
                • Barron is Commissioner Emeritus of The San Bernardino County Children’s and Family Commission know as Fist 5 he served as Commissioner from 2002 to 2006.
                • Barron has two sons Christian Wilson, 28 a graduate of Fresno State University and Cameron Wilson 21 a Senior at Missouri State University.
                • Barron is avid reader and Sports Enthusiast. A Former High School Baseball Coach Barron won a CIF State Championship in 2015 in which he also won Coach of the year by The California Coaches Association, The Cross Valley League and the California Interscholastic Federation.
